Business unusual.

Cafe at Sandakan Harbour Square.

Eatery at Sandakan Harbour Square. Very quiet place! In the midst of the 2014 World Cup football season, with televised games from midnight to 4 a.m. local time.

Night shift.

here's one for ireland

Here's one for Ireland! J & S at BB Cafe, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu.

I have not met many travellers from Ireland. So, when one turned up, I thought we should share a stout. Cheers to J & S. Darn! I forgot to ask what the Swedes drink.

The local authority claimed 3.7 million tourists arrived in Sabah in 2011, including domestic ones. That is a huge number. They are probably right. During the day, a plane flies over the city every 15 minutes. It is also nice to see many young travellers coming to this part of the planet. I wish I could travel to their part of the planet, too.
