The 13th Malaysian general election must be held by 27 June 2013 at the very latest. That is the latest date for polling.

Sabah, where I now live, together with Sarawak, Singapore and The Federation of Malaya, FORMED Malaysia on 16th September, 1963. Depending on who you speak to, lots have gone right, and lots have gone wrong.

In the last four years, a political tsunami has swept across Malaysia, from the West, to the East. It is an awakening never seen before, especially in the last four years, especially in the East (Borneo).

In this new age of the internet the information and media control by the government have been breached. This has allowed otherwise hidden information about the excesses, corruption and denial of justice to be freely available.

Tina @ BB Cafe, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu.

Part of a lively trio, The New Sensation, at the cafe. I like their jazz segment. A change of band every three months or so.. I have missed many changes, but glad to catch this trio.

here’s one for ireland

here's one for ireland

Here's one for Ireland! J & S at BB Cafe, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu.

I have not met many travellers from Ireland. So, when one turned up, I thought we should share a stout. Cheers to J & S. Darn! I forgot to ask what the Swedes drink.

The local authority claimed 3.7 million tourists arrived in Sabah in 2011, including domestic ones. That is a huge number. They are probably right. During the day, a plane flies over the city every 15 minutes. It is also nice to see many young travellers coming to this part of the planet. I wish I could travel to their part of the planet, too.

tamu donggongong.. greetings.

tamu donggongong.. greetings.

Friendly and cheerful atmosphere at Tamu Donggongong. Vendors at the dried seafood stalls (salted fish, anchovies and shrimps).

~Lightbox~  My Tamu Donggongong set.

The Donggongong township holds their weekly tamu (market) on Thursdays and Fridays. Not a huge market in this pre-dominantly Kadazan township, but it is easy to spend an hour or two here. An enjoyable market to visit.
